8/18/2011 · Since the original Antila CD player was launched in 2007 there have been three so-called upgrades. Now, we’re onto the fourth, and this MkIIS Eco . Yet the word ‘upgrade’ doesn’t really do it justice. Leema has introduced new Quattro Infinity DACs, with shorter signal paths, claiming these help to lower noise and crosstalk and promote a greater separation of sound.
Used in a totally purist system with the Hydra II power amplifier, the Antila IIS can even control the amplifier’ s volume and input selection via LIPS ® commands. Volume level and input selection are displayed on the Antila IIS’ s LCD display. Finally, as with other Leema components, the new Antila IIS offers an eco -friendly low power standby mode.

The Antila IIs Eco is a fully LIPS compliant master or slave, allowing it to integrate with other Leema components and home automation systems. Used in a totally purist system with the Hydra mkII power amplifier, the Antila IIs Eco will even control the amplifier’ s volume.
6/5/2014 · In future I might consider upgrading my II- S to II- S Eco which is an improved design offering better soundstaging and clearer background. According to Leema Acoustics they have improved the PCB layout and changed circuitry design of the DAC in II- S Eco .
6/3/2014 · The IIS Eco is much much much better than the earlier models: light and day difference. The biggest jump in quality is between the Antila II and IIS Eco . I’m selling due to moving over to streaming devices and more audio visual gear. If I retained a stand alone CDP though it would be the IIS Eco .
